Specifications of the Asus ROG Phone 5
Asus ROG Phone 5 includes a 6.78-inch Full HD + screen with a resolution of 1080×2448 pixels. The screen is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus coating on top and offers a refresh rate of 144Hz.
The smartphone runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor combined with 16GB of RAM. The phone includes 256GB of internal storage and runs the Android 11 operating system with the company’s own ROG UI layer.
The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a triple rear camera configuration with a 64MP main camera, 13MP ultra wide angle lens and 5MP macro camera. On the front is a 24MP selfie shutter. The smartphone comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the screen, ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 5 and grip press detection.
The gaming smartphone is backed by a 6,000 mAh battery with 65 W HyperCharge fast charging support.
The GameCool 5 cooling system of the ROG Phone 5 series now has an optimal thermal structure with a CPU centered with the battery divided into two parts, one located on each side of the CPU. This structure will help ensure that the heat generated by the CPU is transferred simultaneously to all edges and corners of the chassis for greater thermal efficiency, says Asus. The refurbished 3D steam camera and graphite sheets will also help dissipate the heat.
