Audio brand Bang & Olufsen has brought its first TWS earbuds with active noise cancellation (ANC) to the market in the form of Beoplay EQ true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds.
The earbuds are priced at $399 (approx. Rs 29,637) in the US in two colour options: Black and Sand. They will go on sale starting August 19.
The Beoplay EQ earbuds are made from anodised aluminium and come equipped with six microphones powered by 6.8mm electrodynamic drivers. The earbuds have a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20,000Hz.
The earbuds come with four pairs of silicone ear tips and medium-sized Comply Isolation ear tips. They are IP54-rated which means they have got dust and water resistance both. With the Beoplay EQ, the connectivity option is Bluetooth v5.2 which supports SBC, AAC, and aptX Adaptive codecs. With the Bang & Olufsen app, you can make changes to the sound output of the earbuds through the equaliser settings.
The earbuds come with 85mAh batteries each and the charging case has a battery capacity of 340mAh. The earbuds offer adaptive ANC and Transparency Mode and are claimed to go on for 6.5 hours with ANC on and up to 7.5 hours with the ANC off. With the charging case, the earbuds can give a battery backup of up to 20 hours, claims the company. The Beoplay EQ earbuds support Qi wireless charging and fast charging as well and the company claims that a 20-minute charge can power up the earbuds to give around two hours of playtime.
